Hey!

This is a simple idea, born mostly because Europe Nearly ALWAYS has favor, and because America rarely gets favor. And when they do, It's at midnight when most people usually sleep.

Idea #1: Have an additional bar, like the current faction bars, But a god favor bar, in which, after getting say, 1000 points, you have acess to enter a gods realm. (Still pay 1k or not does not matter, I don't think anyone out there would really care.). You must still ascend in order to enter.

Idea #2: Pay a higher fee, (say, hmm, 5-10K) to enter if your country doesn't have favor, and if your country does have favor, you can enter free.

The Reasons for:

#1: Anyone not European could FoW/UW more often.
#2: PvE wouldn't require PvP for certain area access.
#3: More replayability because UW and FoW are lots of fun.

Reasons against:
#1: Can't think of one right now.

It's a simple idea. Not exactly sure how hard it would be to intemplate, but, I don't see anything wrong with it.

Please post Constructive critisim.

If you don't give a darn about FoW/UW, please don't post. If you post makes aboslutly no sense, please don't post.

When USA and Korea had favor nearly always all european players had the same problem as you. And favor is something like present fron PVP to PVE players.

Not a big fan of #2 at all. In the case of FoW, you likely wouldn't even make up the cost of going in during the run, and in UW you'd need to get 1-2 ectos just to break even. It's not fair that you should be LOSING money to go to a PvE area simply because access is based arbitrarily on PvP battles.

I really posted this because, well, Lots of people can't go into PvE inviro because certain PvP players are better than others.

Favor is not a gift from PvP players to PvE players. The people who are exclusively into PvP could care less about the people who are in to PvE, and vice versa.

Favor was an intriguing concept based on the fact that ANet thought people would play through PvE and get into PvP as a sort of "end-game". However, for whatever reason, this is simply not the case. The people who want to PvP roll new characters and do it that way. The people who are into PvE generally couldn't care less.

Remove the fee for entering the FoW/UW, remove favor entirely, and make people pay Balthazar Faction to get in. You want people to do PvP and PvE? This is a very simple way to do it. All facets of PvP will become more popular. Farmers will complain, but farmers always complain, and ANet claims not to like them very much anyway.

Besides, 1,000 Balthazar Faction is just not that much. I think that would be the imaginable thing that ANet could do. It would increase the popularity of PvP, it would make access to FoW/UW more commonplace, and it might even increase the general skill level of the Guild Wars playerbase.

Wow, what wonderful logic! I play on the European server and think favor is not working. When Europe never had favor I bet you were complaining about the favor system, but now that it's working in your benefit you think it's fine. You can't simply flip on an issue because it's turned from working against you to not affecting you.

I play on the European server, and fully agree with aB-. The favour system is really not working for anyone, and it's completely unfair to others that we hold favor all the time. Think about what would happen if America suddenly got wiser in the ways of HA, and started beating Europe again? I'm sure there'd be a lot of complainers again, but now from a different side.

I like the idea of having a god favor bar, or using Balthazar faction to get into FoW and UW. That way the places would technically be open for everyone, but it would still require some commitment to get in. It would probably also lessen the farming a bit, as people wouldn't be able to just pay their way in. And rather than trusting a random PvP group you've never even heard of, in a place you've probably never even been to, to get you in, it would be a lot better to have the ability of getting in completely in your own hands.

Most people(not all) who complain about favor just want to be able to be free to overfarm these areas all the time, they dont want any thing that may prevent then from going there all day long. They dont come up with ideas.

I believe just the ones who have won favor before, know the greats sensation that is to have your name spread on everybodys chat saying that you won the hoh. Dont think that should ever be taken out.

An idea? Make favor change with less then 5 consecutive wins. make it between 1-3 and you we would see a lot of favor swapping.

and i bet you didnt give a s*** about europe when you had favour all the time.. territories dont care about each other.. thats kinda why it is made, eu has favour most of the time, because we have a wider time span, if you get what i mean.. we have more "awake" hours..

Did you even read his post or my post?

He's From Europe, and My ideas don't support farming. (He can farm FoW/UW all the time.)

If you comment, Explain WHY you say what you do.

PvP only players Don't give a damn about PvE favor. Why the hell should they?
They don't participate in it, so they don't care.

And actually, I do care. I care about Taiwan who has only gotten favor once or twice. I care about those Korean players that can't play FoW/UW.

*SIGH* Not everybody wants to get into UW or FoW just to frickin farm. I know that there are a lot of folks who do, but quit saying that the only reason people here want to get into these areas is to Farm.

Some of us would like to actually EXPLORE the area and see what there is to see.

I think favor is an outdated concept for Guild Wars and should be done away with. I will also go out on a limb and say I would like to be able to take my Hero/Hench team into these areas as well. I know you all will scream and holler about this idea and I don't care. To make you happy, maybe they could just allow heroes and henches in as a "weekend event".

I would like to be able to explore these areas without having to go through the massive headache of finding a PUG that is willing to just explore the area and do the quests there, not farm for ectos and drop whenever they feel like it.

Finally! Someone who understands what this entire thread is about.

I didn't propose this Idea so I can farm more, this idea is about having fun playing the game. I just wanna explore the FoW! Which is why I posted like having a kill count to enter, or maybe using balth faction, or paying more plat.
